Preteen Vaccines

Preteen Vaccines

Wellness visits are essential part of health maintenance in pediatric practice and they include getting recommended routine vacines for all age groups.  Pandemic has resulted in large deficits and drops in adolescent immunizations worldwide.  Preteens need vacccines against whooping cough (Tdap), HPV and Meningitis vaccine when they are 11 to 12 years old.  The Covid - 19 vaccine is recommended for children 5 years and older.  Incoming 7th graders must also provide proof of having received 2 doses of Mesales Mumps & Rubella vaccine and Chickenpox vaccine before starting school.  Please use every opportunity to immunize your preteens.
